What makes UX become my passion?
As a UX designer and researcher, my passion for creating compelling user experiences stems from a deep interest in user behavior and the ways in which people interact with technology. This fascination was first sparked during my studies for my first master's degree at NTU, where I conducted research on music discovery and revisiting behavior. Through this research, I discovered the joys of understanding user behavior and the exciting possibilities of creating more effective and engaging user experiences. My interest in UX design was further solidified during my time working at Taipei Public Library, where I saw firsthand the importance of intuitive and user-friendly systems. Despite the prevalence of technology in our daily lives, many automation systems still have outdated interfaces that can be frustrating and time-consuming for users. This realization inspired me to pursue a career in UX design, with the goal of using my existing knowledge and skills to create more effective and efficient user interfaces. To further hone my skills and knowledge, I enrolled in the UT Austin School of Information to focus on UX design and UX research. This experience provided me with the resources and opportunities to become a true UX designer who not only understands user behavior, but also knows how to conduct UX research to create data-driven solutions. Overall, my motivation to become a UX designer and researcher is fueled by a desire to understand and create compelling user experiences. I am excited to contribute my skills to this exciting and ever-evolving field, and to continue learning and growing as a UX professional.
